Ambassador Carmen Lomellin is the principal at Lomellin Global Partners, LLC. From 2009 to 2014, she served as U.S. Permanent Representative to the Organization of American States (OAS) and the National Coordinator for the Presidential-level Summit of the Americas. Appointed by President Barack Obama and confirmed by the United States Senate in November 2009, Ambassador Lomellin worked to advance U.S. interests at the OAS and the Inter-American system and promote regional cooperation among OAS member states. Before leading the U.S. Permanent Mission to the OAS, Ambassador Lomellin was the Executive Secretary of the Inter-American Commission of Women for the OAS.
Ambassador Lomellin is a member of the Board of Visitors of Virginia Commonwealth University (VCU) and a member of the Board of Directors of the VCU Health System.
